World Food Day
“Leave No One Behind; better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life” –
Since 70 years ago, Indonesia has stated that ‘food is the life and death of a nation’. This makes World Food Day always commemorated as a reminder for the nation to respect and resolve all food issues or problems.
The purpose of commemorating World Food Day is to increase public awareness and attention on the importance of handling food problems from the global, regional until national levels.
This year the theme of World Food Day asks all nations to move forward together, towards a better future, no one should be left behind, no one should leave the other.
Of course, this was not missed by SD Strada Budi Luhur 1 to participate in celebrating World Food Day. Precisely on Monday, October 17th, 2022 all students, educators, and education staff participated in the activity.
Started by watching the 2022 World Food Day message by Fr. Ignatius Cardinal Suharyo, pays attention to shows that invite us to appreciate food more and also save money, then pays attention to 7 Meditations Before Eating which can help us to appreciate food more.
Furthermore, the activity was closed by eating together with a menu of 4 healthy 5 perfect foods that had been prepared by students as well as educators and education staff, all of whom ate food with gusto and full of joy.
Let’s learn to appreciate the things around us more like our health, the food we eat, and the people around us.
Thank you 😊
